Accountability = Productivity

I FINALLY got my Pink Christmas gift mailed! Good grief, I don't know why I waited so long to finish. It's a good thing I made myself accountable to Michelle because it took me all afternoon to finish everything, get it wrapped and then in a box to mail. I finalized the shipping at 5:11pm--Merry Freakin Christmas! Ha. I'm so happy to have that sent, but it occurred to me that my person might not be spending Christmas at her house this year and if that's the case I'm bummed out. I'll know better for next year.

This is what my kitchen looked like while I was trying to get my Pink Christmas gift ready! It was a royal mess, but it was so satisfying to finally get it all done that I didn't mind cleaning it all up.

This is the entire contents of my mailbox yesterday! It's so rare to get nothing but good mail, I love it. There were 2 Christmas cards (from Natasha and Laurie) and a wedding invitation, along with good mail from Claudia and Kacey.

Claudia sent me two photo cds from our trip to see her in September, along with this very cute "J" ornament. So nice.

Kacey sent me this cute Santa notepad and this cute note. Thanks Kacey!

We watched Adam and Amy's girls tonight while they braved Adam's work party. I love having the cousins all together (even though it gets crazy). They love watching a movie and having popcorn with m&ms in it and start asking to do that as soon as they get here. I thought this photo was funny because they're totally engrossed in "Snoopy, Come Home" and not concerned with the camera at all. I love all the Christmas decorations and lighting too.

Today I have a commitment from Randy that he will created our Christmas cards! It's already after 11:00, but he works quickly so we'll see. I need to mail a few more gifts (why did I wait so long???) and possibly brave shopping some more. Our family is signed up to help clean the church building this afternoon with some other families, so we'll be doing that at some point too. I slept in rather late this morning so I feel like I've lost half my day already. It's a conundrum for me because the call of the cozy is so strong.

**What are you doing today?**

That is a great photo of the kids glued to such a fascinating show! The "call of the cozy" is too much for me to resist as well. I've never gotten a load of PURE good mail! I'm jealous.

I'm going to have to use that phrase "the call of the cozy". Love that!

We don't have anything big on the agenda today, which is a nice feeling! I am going to finish my Christmas cards, and probably do some cleaning around here. The constant activities of the last couple of weeks have taken their toll on the state of my house.

I, too, like the "call of the cozy". What a good line!

What am I doing today? I'm finishing Cali's scrapbook for Christmas. I did an A-Z book for her, with each letter of the alphabet describing her with pictures to illustrate the adjective. I'm enjoying the day immensely.

The best I can.

I'm just trying to get done with last minute stuff and figure out what needs to be done before next weekend. It's all coming too fast. Not sure that I'm ready for 2007.

Thanks again for watching the kids. They're always so thrilled to come play.

Oh I am so happy right now. I was doing my aunt's hair (she works at the post office) and she said if I packaged up my Pink Christmas she would mail it for me and I would not have to wait in line! I was ecstatic! We don't have an automated machine here (*@#!) and I would have to wait forever.

I got my Pink Christmas today too, I have had a great day. All I need to do is finish my cards and we are good to go to get my mom tomorrow!

Today was yard work, cleaning bathrooms and going to Grandpa and Grandma house. Your family room looks great.

I love that picture of all the kids. It looks so warm and christmasie in your house.

Way to go mailing it. And now that you talked about it I am dying to see who you had.

We cleaned the church a few months back. My kids always complain about going and then LOVE it when they do it. Go figure.

To answer your question......just glad the kids are now in bed and the day is OVER!

Conundrum ... now there's a word for you! Nice usage. Your pink Christmas gift is packaged so nice and pink! A very happy sight.

I went on a hot date today with my husband to see The Pursuit of Happyness. Loved it. Go see it! And eat some candy and popcorn while you're there.

Your living room looks very cozy. Nothing better than hanging out with your cousins - my Grandma used to have little cousin parties for us and they were so much fun.

So beautiful - the pink gift!
I love the photo of the cousins - lovely lighting, such a twinkle everywhere this month. So sweet of you to host cousin night!
And NOTHING but good mail? Wow, and no one deserves that pleasure more than you.
I had cookie extravaganza day with my sister. Fun fun.

There needs to be a list of Jill's favorite and original phrases! Nothing like having a bunch of cousins cozying up and watching a movie!

Today? Just hosted a party (book club and thier families) for about fifty people--WHEW!

Loved the look of your Pink Christmas. I was really wishing i had gotten pink paper and not biffed it with a fake bow. But I am trying to turn a new leaf and not hold myself to ideals all the time. So I'll enjoy how nice your wrap turned out.

Great cozy living room!

We did some shopping and went to the company Cmas party today.

Your presents looks so pretty! Now i am sad that I didn't sign up to do this. But not being crafty I didn't want to break any rules of not making it myself.

The kids look so enthraled with the movie. Your family room looks fantastic. What you imagine for Christmas.

I stayed home yesterday and got some things wrapped and made some treats.

What a great feeling to have mailed the Pink Christmas gift. I hope your recipient is spending Christmas at home so she can receive that cute box of fabulousness.

Dang, we should be accountable to each other more often, that is really the way to go.

LOVE the photo of the kids engrossed in the movie by the Christmas lights. Awesome.

By the way, I just opened my RSS window for the first time all week so I could enable a Nintendo Wii tracker that Robin told me about. I have 126 unread posts!!! Sigh. 7 of them were yours, highly disturbing to me.

I knew kelly would love the phrase "the call of the cozy" and shawna b the use of the word conundrum. :)
I had Crystalyn's kids here Friday night too and it was a lot of fun but poor Hanna didn't sleep so well, so I felt like I didn't sleep at all. I let "the call of the cozy" get the better of me most of the day Saturday and didn't even check one blog all day. Sometimes it feels good to take a day off and rest.

Oh Jill! I am home for the holidays and I got the package this afternoon. It took all my self control not to rip it right open. My husband was shocked that I didn't. It just looks so pink 'n pretty and you were nice enough to include the music mix CD to tide me over until Christmas Day. We listened to it while we went looking at Christmas lights for FHE. My daughter loved putting the ornament on the tree. She loved that is was so "spark-L-lee". I really can't wait to open it. I'd have to say it is very fun to have something fun under the tree just for me. Thank you so much!! Stacy
