I was walking through the cafeteria looking for a student (which was unsuccessful because there were 800 kids in the area) and one of the boys I know offered me part of his peanut butter/chocolate-chip on wheat sandwich. I politely declined, but he insisted and then wanted me to try it in front of him! Yikes! I pulled a chocolate chip out and ate that, but there was no way I was biting into that despite the kindness it came with! It's probably a pretty tasty combo when made on good white bread in one's own home. Ha.
Whitney gave us a very interesting (fly by the seat of her pants) FHE lesson on Free Agency which included these cute, personalized handouts for each of us. She is a visual learner and so creative that her favorite part of any lesson is the handout or visual aids she makes.
We also let her be in charge of the game that night because the rest of us didn't care what we played. She chose Apples to Apples, which involved each of us reading our personality-trait descriptions (based on the cards we won during the game) at the end...these were my cards. I felt like they were strangely accurate for me, dang it.
I continue to have up to 15 games of Words With Friends going on all the time and continue to be skunked regularly. Cathy seems to be killing me the worst and early on as evidenced by this game we started yesterday! Either I should give up playing or start cheating for real!
Randy had to check Landon out of school today for his last elbow-related doctor's appointment (hooray!) so he brought Wendy (the other secretary) and I a burrito from Cafe Rio to split (I had requested this in detail this morning. I have instructed Randy that he is never to come to the junior high empty handed! It feels like battle conditions to me so food, beverages and treats are particularly precious to me.) It was so fantastic to have a good lunch at work, even though it took us an hour to eat it. Cafe Rio is still good when cold! I was a little bugged that I left work with a killer headache despite the large medicinal Coke he brought me. The kids (at school) were really on one today and I think there was no escaping the headache they gave me.
**Are you playing Catch-Up all the time?
Ever had a peanut butter/chocolate chip sandwich?
Any Words With Friends advice?**

At first glance that meal looked positively Chinese. At second glance it still looked Chinese. I'm glad your burrito was still good cold.
Those migraines are crimping your style.
Here's to a headache free afternoon.
I think the funniest line ever from your blog is "I have instructed Randy that he is never to come to the jr. high empty handed!" I love it. Good girl.
Yes, I have felt like that. I hate when I am feeling overwhelmed.
I'm glad you got cafe rio, that sounds delicious.
Hope you get a break soon!
I never think of your kids as being "on one" - I'm curious.
You know playing catch up is how I live.
I don't eat peanut butter so that does not sound tempting to me... even made at home.
I'm not in the words with friends century yet.... it seems like one more thing to me but I'm sure I would be converted if I had the opportunity.
I'm sorry you are getting headaches again. I would be finding a way to have Jimmy be the office help so I could be "the lady of leisure"... I know you like the job but I'm lazier than you and that's how I think. I hope you get a break soon! Escalante?
I hope today you are painfree!!
I love that Randy brought you and your friend when you had wanted/needed. I agree. Don't come anytime without a treat, peace offering or a bribe. :-)
I don't know if I would have tried a random sandwich either. I am sure my littles would love a chocolate chip sandwich!
I am always catching up on something...
I don't have words with friends...I should. But then again, maybe I shouldn't.
I don't have Words With Friends on my phone but I have a Blackberry and maybe that's for iPhones?
Never had that sandwich but I do love a hunk of peanut butter and a few bittersweet choc chips on my oatmeal for breakfast!
I feel like I am always playing catch up, or even better, stay ahead...
Ann, I'm in charge of our new beginnings music next months. It's a little stressful.
Okay so you have to try putting peanut butter on a graham cracker then sprinkle with chocolate chips or I put as many as I can fit. It is soo good and you feel like you are getting a real treat!
I would have dies if a kid did that to me. I won't even eat what my own kids hand me let alone a school kid.
I am always playing catch up with something.
Good luck with the headaches, they are miserable. If I'm ever in your neighborhood or you in mine, stop and I'll show you the yoga position that the teacher swears gets rid of migraines.
Oh Cafe Rio! I finally get to have my pork salad tomorrow after craving it for 6 months. I am so excited!
I have no Words with Friends tips for you. I only play with my friends mom and I'm horrible. Well, except for the one time I played zill with the z on a triple letter and the l on a triple word for 105 points, but that was complete luck!
ugg. I kind of want to gag at that sandwhich. So so nice of him to share, but I can just imagine the grubby dirty hands holding it. Gives me the willies!
mmmm I do love cafe rio! And I feel like I am playing catch up all.the.time!!!!
I'm cracking up over your Apples to Apples hand.
I love the instructions for Randy. Hooray for Cafe Rio at work!
I wonder if Lucas would take a sandwich to school if it was peanut butter/chocolate chip?
Surprisingly having just two people in a house I still feel out of control sometimes... The catch-up game is inevitable.
Remind me to tell you about the pickled egg story sometime. (Compares to the sandwich today.)
CATCH-UP is my LIFE. If I am 1/2 way caught up, I am feeling caught up enough.
8:00 am and now my mouth is watering for cafe rio (not a pb/choco chip sandwich). I haven't been there in a few years (WHAT?!) but I think I will try making the homemade version on Saturday.
To clarify, you are an excellent words with friends player!!!
I think you beat me all December.
I've had lucky tiles in January, that's all.
Connecting with junior kids is a gift...you are amazing!
I love playing words. I never leave a 'set up' and I almost always play more than one word at a time. I'm an addict with that game, really.
I cracked up over the offer of a sandwich. Too funny.
I like cold food too. Milo thinks I'm crazy.
Shut up, you are not repulsive.
I want that burrito so bad right now. Help me, Weight Watchers gods!
