Grateful

I woke with a migraine this morning! Can you believe it? I went to bed feeling fine last night (after watching the 2nd disc of 4 episodes of LOST) and woke up with a killer headache on the entire right side of my head and neck. I took one of my Relpax (ultimate migraine medication) right away, but had to shower and get the kids to the dentist by 8:30am. I didn't get totally ready (make-up) because I felt too dizzy and nauseous to even stay in the bathroom a little bit longer. At the dentist's office I sat in a chair with my head against the wall and my eyes closed and just waited for the kids to be done. Fortunately it only took 45 minutes, and the kids didn't need me to go back with them at all. I came home and got back in bed and slept for another hour and a half. And now I'm better! I love how after I recover from one my wicked migraines I feel like I have a new lease on life. The contrast in how I feel is so extreme that I actually knelt down and said of prayer of thanks before even leaving the bedroom.

**When have you said a prayer of thanks after recovering from being sick?**

it's mainly out of gratitude that it wasn't a tumor. I know I have some serious issues. Glad you are feeling better.

i have never had a migraine and luckily don't get many headaches. i had them all the time when i was in 5th grade. bad memories.
i am glad you are feeling better.

i am getting much better about my thankful prayers than just the asking ones.

jill your right side bar is also on the bottom when you view your blog in the IE. i wonder if it was the zoom cloud that did it.

shoot! I should have called you! I was wondering if you were incapacitated in some way...

I try to say a prayer of gratitude every day that I'm not sick. Ditto for when my family is not sick. We've had so much sickness that I am very thankful when we're in good health.

Never, but prayer has never been a strong point for me. It's somethig I'm working on. I want to teach my children by example, and not be a "do as I say, not as I do" kind of Mom.

Oh, and I am so glad you're feeling better. Headaches are the worst. I've never had a migraine before, but small headaches are bad enough for me to know that I should be very grateful.

Oh, I have such sympathy for that horrible feeling of a bad headache! I am so gald you are feeling better. I had two really bad cases of strep throat this fall, the kind where I literally could not get out of bed. It made me realize how thankful I am to be healthy, and how hard it must be for people who suffer daily. I am simply not that strong!

Prayers are a weak point for me and something that I struggle with, although why I don't know. I usually try and remember to say a word of thanks for my health, I know how fragile it can be, the last time I specifically said thanks was after my brain tumor operation 7 years ago.
