Return of the Interim Blogger

Howdy folks. Yes, it is I, the famous I.B. reporting to you live from sunny American Fork. Jill asked me to give you all a quick update on her wisdom teeth situation as she slowly curls into a fetal position on our bed. Though to be honest, slipping into the cozy at 5:20pm sounds pretty good--too bad it has to be spoiled by throbbing, will-sapping pain.

Last night she seemed to have a nice respite from the agony--long enough to eat some tasty mashed potatoes (minimal chewing) from Chili's takeout and enjoy a couple episodes of "On the Lot." Have you seen this show? It's like American Idol for directors and film makers. Last night their assignment was to create a 60 second comedy short. They had to come up with an idea, write it, direct it, and edit it. There were some very cool results. The final winner gets a million deal with DreamWorks and Steven Spielberg. That's a pretty sweet prize.

Back to the mind-splitting torture. So earlier today she was feeling better so she ventured out to Seven Peaks water park with Landon and Whitney to celebrate Jessica's (Amie's daughter) birthday. She made it about halfway through the event when the pain returned with extreme prejudice. A few calls later and she was filling out paperwork in the oral surgeons office. No, she didn't get them removed today. But she does have an appointment for Thursday afternoon. The doctor said her teeth are infected and wrote her a prescription for antibiotics--which I am picking up at 6:00pm. It's 5:30pm now and I am squeezing this in until I have to leave for Walgreens. Hopefully the meds will do their thing. It's so sad to see your wife whimper.

Sorry this isn't longer, but I type slowly and I need to take dinner orders before heading out the door. If Jill is still not up to snuff tomorrow, the I.B. may strike again...

Dang. I was hoping the dr. would get her out of her misery today!

Thanks for the update Randy. Make her call me if I can do something for her. It is very sad to not be able to do anything for her.

Just keep your mind on Thursday! It may still hurt after the procedure, but at least it will be healing pain and not getting worse pain!

It's good to have an update. I HATE teeth pain and I hope the antibiotics do their stuff. If she gets to hang out in the cozy for the next day and a half, Thurs will be here before she knows it.

Hang in there Jill!!

Oh no! Jill I hope you feel better. Just be forwarned, getting your wisdom teeth removed is not a feel-better-in-a-day surgery. Something I learned the hard way when nobody told me I'd need a few days to recover and feel better. In two days that pain will be gone though and you can wisdom-less like the rest of us!

Poor Jill! I can't imagine the pain and infected teeth to boot! Hope you get some relief, and quick!!

Oh dear. It's worse than I thought! When I called yesterday and she didn't answer, I was hoping she was in the dr.'s office! Thursday can't come soon enough. Thanks for the update, I.B.!

Jill I'm sorry you're still in torturing pain, but I'm glad you finally went in. Really that's going to give you the only relief...getting them out. Good Luck on Thursday. I hope you're able to do everything you want with Whitney's last few days.

BTW why in the world are you going swimming in such cold weather?

Oh poor Jill! Glad you are getting some meds and the dang teeth out tomorrow!! Hope you feel better.

Thanks for the report I.B.!

Thanks for the update! Hang in there! Glad that Thurs is coming up quick - although, I am sure, not quick enough!

What is the POINT of wisdom teeth? Really, they're just ridiculous. If it's any consolation to Jill, I too have been in pain on-and-off with mine and I know one of them is probably infected too. I'm putting off the inevitable.

I agree with the other girls, there is some blessed relief that this didn't happen in France.

I'm sure the IB will look after her. Hugs from us all to Jill. xxx

Thanks for the update, I.B. Only 1 more day, Jill. I hope the meds are helping you out in the meantime. Dental pain is the worst.

Hope you are still hanging in there. It's only Wednesday! I know the next 24 hours may seem like they are dragging. I hope the meds did the trick!

p.s. It's always a treat to hear from you Randy :) (I wish mine would add his two cents once in a while)

Oh, Jill! I hope the antibiotics kick in and you feel better until Thursday arrives. Keith actually pulled his own wisdom teeth out (he's a bit psycho), so I'm hoping you don't resort to that in the mean time. Thanks for keeping us updated, I.B.!

Jill, poor Jill. I hope the oral surgery is better than the pain you've been experiencing. Chances are...just make sure you get sent home with lots of good meds.

I am so glad I checked the blog today....I figured Jill might be out of comission and may not be up to blogging. I am so sorry she is feeling so lousy, thanks for the update and please keep us posted!

Jill, I sure hope you get to feeling better soon! It makes me remember the pain of when I had my wisdom teeth out. Ultimately, I'm SO glad I did that.

You are in my thoughts.
