Tidbits

I have started playing music on my phone while I shop, so it's like I have my own little soundtrack happening. I don't wear headphones, the music plays out loud from my purse. It's not loud enough for anyone to notice unless they're close to me.

 Landon's 1st place soccer trophy!

One of our ward members keeps a meticulous lawn, but always puts the BYU logo on it in the fall, I enjoy this.

I have started bringing my camera to school every day and am snapping random photos of students and items around school. I am in cahoots with the yearbook teacher and with the administrator who controls the big screens in the common area. He used a disc of my photos as a slideshow for all to see on Friday...the kids loved it. I'm excited to do this!

I haven't posted any good mail since February when my computer died! I never even posted about my birthday (did anyone notice?), but rather than doing an official good mail post I'm going to slip in a couple belated birthday items I've received recently. Lisa sent me this book she loved and some cash for Cafe Rio, two of my favorite things!

Natalie sent me a disc of her Summer Mix and a bag of my favorite treats! I just love getting good mail!

I came out of Wal-Mart recently and saw a beautiful rainbow.

Whitney and I saw this sky the other night after leaving D.I.  I don't think she enjoys how I'm always pointing out beautiful sunsets, but it seems criminal not to appreciate them.

The kids have been playing with a crazy Face Goo App that distorts photos; this one of Landon is particularly funny and cartoon-like. He messed with a photo of me, but it wasn't funny, just disturbing.

**Thoughts??**

Comment Window Tidbit: I was home alone for 3 hours today and loved it! I caught up on the cleaning without anyone making new messes, woohoo!

this is a great post-
I don't know why- but I don't like to listen to much music these days? Even driving into & back from work- complete silence- and I love it.
love the lawn
and trophy!
and photos in the school (they are so lucky to have you!)
My husband loves to have us all run outside & see the sunset-- I don't think any of us appreciate it as much as he & you do?

I love listening to music while shopping but I do usually use headphones. I like the idea of having our very own soundtrack.

I'm glad you got my late package and hopefully you enjoy the tunes.

I being able to clean in peace.

Oh and I love that you are taking pics at the school. I'm sure you will get some really great shots.

I always enjoy your tidbit posts, Jill. I think the distorted pictures of me are disturbing, too, but that one of Landon is pretty cool.

In order for me to be the most productive possible, I have to be listening to music. The bread in your grocery basket is taunting me! The only bread you can find here is of the baguette variety, so we have a standing sandwich bread order on netgrocer, but it usually makes it to us a little stale (but my expectations are low, considering it has to cross the atlantic). It's still perfect for toast, so I'll take it! I once looked online to see if anyone sold grandma sycamore, but no dice. It's too bad! I think they'd make a killing with former Utahns who are in love with the stuff. Perhaps when I come visit I'll fill my suitcase with it. :) I love good mail too, and we get a lot of it! That is if you count packages we send ourselves, which I do. (Aside from the euro imported food we get at the supermarches, there is no shopping to be done here...we live for amazon.com and netgrocer.)

Those sunset pictures are gorgeous.

I got to be home alone for a while yesterday and it was so nice. I got a lot of stuff done also.

I seriously would love to know how to do that Y. Pretty awesome.

I am utterly creeped out by those distorted photos. Lucas loves doing things like that on the computer, and I hate it.

I am cracking up thinking of you shopping with your own music coming out of your purse! So funny.

It's like the school is getting 2 for the price of 1 with you. What a deal.

Hooray for being home alone!

Love your tidbits!

I don't know if we'd ever paint a sign in our yard for anything, but it's fun to see when others do.

You sure got several fun--and yummy--goodies. That's great! I enjoyed Same Kind of Different as Me. Really made me think.

I think I missed out on the fun mirror appreciation gene. I think they are creepy.

Hooray for music while shopping--whatever helps, right?

That must have been strange to be in the congregation during the program. What a new perspective you have with that new seat.

Music out of your purse? I love that! So funny!

Loving the random shots of school and think that is a great idea to show the kids on the big screen. Fun creative project!

That photo is CREEPY!!!!!!!! :-)

Good mail is the best! Belated gifts are even better as it stretches out your birthday celebration... ha!

I can't do music. At all. I know that sounds terrible but it makes me feel like there is chaos in my head. On my itunes acct there are like 10 songs over the past 5 years.

I bet the yearbook teacher LOVES having you there to document. Any school would be lucky to have your talent.

Little Debbies in your basket...I have a SERIOUS weakness for Zebra Cakes so I cannot buy them or else I will eat too many.

I love your tidbit randomness. Gives a nice candid glimpse into your life.

It is time for spider lilies to bloom here. They basically pop up everywhere especially in yards around older homes. I love them. I love the way they look and I love that they are a sign that the heat of summer is easing up and fall is here. I obviously point them out too much because the other day we were riding past a yard that had dozens blooming and Carly said "I know, I know, you don't have to say it".
