Bit of a Rewind
Way back on March 24th (opening weekend) Landon and I met Michelle and Lucas at the movie theater to see The Hunger Games. We had seats top row center and were armed with large bags of popcorn, large drinks (sadly this resulted in some major discomfort for Landon and I about 3/4 through the movie) and a smuggled in baggie of M&Ms, it was great!
We all liked the movie and thought they did a good job adapting it from the book. I thought it could have been a little longer so that some of the relationships could have been more developed, but other than that I had no complaints.

What a great mom/son/friend date! And movies are all about the treats. That was a great movie--totally not relaxing though!
Harold and I both read The Hunger Games and even saw the movie. Loved it all. (we have to keep current with what our Granddaughters are reading, you know.)
Wish you were able to post more often. Love keeping up with you and your family.
It was so much fun! Hard to believe that was the first time we've had an outing like that.
I took Luci to see it with her friends and their mothers. I had reservations about it but in the end it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Out of the three books I liked the 2nd the most. I was shocked when I began reading them--Luci checked them out at her school library and I think she's really too young but by the time I began the 1st one she had read all three. I really don't see what all the hype is but then I'm not a teen or pre-teen either. In any case, Luci and I enjoyed a great evening out and it was my 1st theater movie since The Help last August!
Oh and we smuggled our own snacks in too, I even brought an apple juice for Luci and a Coke Zero for me in my purse.
I have missed so many posts lately....
I loved the movie!! WAs very pleasantly surprised with how they did it! I took Brandon and he LOVED it, even without reading the book!
