More Tidbits

Adam took me out for a belated birthday lunch at Goodwood a couple weeks ago. It's always enjoyable to spend time talking to him, and the food was good too.

He drew this on my to-go box.

Landon has shot up this summer and is now 4-5 inches taller than Whitney even though they've been holding steady at only 2 inches apart for years (he's delighted of course).

It ended up being so fantastic that I didn't have to work on Monday the 13th like I'd originally planned. Instead the kids and I got to do some school shopping (it's almost impossible to get Landon to shop so this was huge) and go to lunch and a movie ("Brave"). It felt like a definite bonus to my summer.

Landon is branching out from his nearly exclusive wardrobe of BYU t-shirts in gray, blue and white. We introduced some bold colors (there's a green shirt under there too) and nonBYU tees. He's also got some seriously neon green tennis shoes to match.

I wish Adam was a part of my real life. That's great about your bonus summer day! Unexpected time off always beats planned vacation days.

How fun to have a birthday lunch with Adam. I wish my brother lived closer. He turns 30 next April and I am already dropping hints to Kim that I expect to be able to take a trip to CA to see him for that!

What is it with boys and clothes shopping? Luci is easy to please but Griffin and I went back and forth on things. I did spread the shopping out over the summer so it wouldn't dent my wallet all the week before school started. And this school year I also had them buy school shoes WAY early-- more selection that way!

HOoray for the bonus day!

I can't even imagine going to lunch with my brother? how wonderful that you are close!

Jack wore exclusively BYU for YEARS & YEARS. Good for Landon for branching out. YES it is so hard to get boys to shop, especially for clothes. AFter jack got home from his mission we couldn't buy anything! Everything was "too expensive" or could have "fed him for a week/month on the mission." which is insane considering he lots 40 lbs on his mission?

Landon & Whitney are so grown up- and such great kids!

Blake has some neon stuff also this year. He has really broadened his clothing.

Landon looks like a man. Seriously.

If I lived closer to my brother we would do fun lunches like this also.

How can it be that so many good artists are in your family? Whitney had it coming from both sides.

I, too, think your brother-sister relationship is such a great thing.

I can't even imagine a sibling birthday lunch, so fun.

I was thrilled that you had that bonus day of summer vacation!

It seems kind of huge that Landon is branching out from his BYU tshirts.
