Like when the house starts to feel like it's full of booby traps (i.e., open the hall closet and get hit by a bar of soap, go to set something in the garage and find there are no empty spaces to be found, go to hang up clothes in the kids' closet only to find there's no room yet they have nothing to wear). When I trigger one too many booby traps (don't you just love that term?) I get fed up enough to take care of them, and that day is today.
But what I should do is have a long-term to-do list going to remind myself of the bigger projects I intend to do, so hopefully I can take care of them before they make me insane. Amie recently posted her list of big projects for the year and even made a space on her sidebar where she will be updating things as she does them (brilliant!).
I think sharing these projects on our blogs helps make us more likely to do them, helps inspire each other, documents a lot of the behind-the-scenes women do, and is just plain satisfying to see.
**Do you had long-term to-do lists?
Are you inspired by others' productivity?
Is my list for today too optimistic?**

i love seeing other people's ideas on how to get things done. i'm really bad at it. i need a constant list, but i always feel too busy to make one.
booby traps! my house is full of them!!!
Booby traps! What a great term!
I would love to see Amie's list on her blog but it's a private blog.
I love projects and making lists of projects!
I love long term lists and am making so much progress on my 101 list. It has been cool to have it all written down! Amy's plan to update as she goes is awesome.
I am constantly inspired/dumb founded by others productivity. Your list looks totally doable, then again, I tend to think people with all school age children can accomplish anything-ha!
I have long-ish term lists, but I want to make one like Amie's and Hannah's. I can't even function without a list - that's why I have multiples at any given time!
I am totally inspired by others' productivity. Your list would be way too optimistic for me, but you don't have an Eva, so I think you can do it!
I think that others lists helps inspire me, lift me up and show me that all women have projects and that i'm not alone to go ahead as i can. I think your list is very doable! Didn't you notice that less we have to do, less we do but more we have to do and more we do things! isn't it?

I am glad I am not the only one that this happens too (the constant booby traps :)...they drive me nuts!)
I have so many projects, so many things I have been meaning to do for years!! This needs to be my year of projects too...I have been working on my list!
love this idea of writing it down and posting progress (that would have been a great tie in with my 08 word)
i do like a list to motivate me
i am definitely inspired by the productivity of others. that has been a great blessing from blogging for me -- seeing how much i can actually do and get done in my life, and realizing my own potential. seeing what someone else has done and thinking, 'hey, maybe i could do that to.'
i started a project journal at the end of december. every time i get an idea for a project i'll at least write down a name for it, and if i have the time then i'll include a supply list and step-by-step instructions. then, later on when i want to do something creative i don't have to waste time wondering what i could possibly work on. i just open my journal, pick something, and get to work. it's been a great way to unclutter the creative side of my brain because i don't have to worry about remembering project ideas and lists.
i also write the date that i finished the project, and eventually i want to take pictures of all my projects to add in.
so far it's been very rewarding to go back and see what i've worked on and FINISHED.
on monday i also typed out my resolutions and made them into a table that i posted on my bulletin board. i really, really want to be organized and focused this year.
I use daily lists but need to be better about long-term ones. I am in awe of these "meetings" that you have with yourself and am repeatedly inspired by bloggers out there!!
Great idea...the list thing. I have tons of cute projects bookmarked on my side bar but I never look at them because it's too overwhelming.
Tackle things one at a time...that is crazy enough to work.
I am also in awe about these meetings you have with yourself. I need to try it sometime!
I think Amie is amazing and wish I had access to her blog b/c she is a little bit of a hero to me for being so organized and on top of her household stuff. I seriously would pay to go to her seminar! (Think about it Amie!)
It always overwhelms me to think of all the things I need to do and want to do... so part of the process for me is creating a good process.
I love your term "having a meeting with myself" and your view of your house as a living being out to trap you makes me laugh.
Good luck with your list. Progress is good. Progress is good.
i am more often inspired by others productivity than not.
I love your meetings with your self and think this may have motivated me to do the same.
today was a horrible no good day and maybe if i would have had a list it would have been better.
Amie - smart cookie!
Hey...I am so happy you are sending me a letter each week. I feel spoilt, specially when you miss a week...then i get really sad! so put me on your list. hhehhehehe was that selfish? I have so many long term things that I don't even look at them anymore. I know what they are. And yes, OTHERS productivty really inspires me to do more!
I love the armoir. Congrats! I am impressed with all the suggestions everyone had.
I love long term lists and have been making a mental one that I will make into a post. I have realized lately that I need to be more list oriented on the short term too. Too many times I get to the store without a list and then have to go back again b/c I forgot the one essential item. It's ridiculous!
Yes! I am very inspired by other people's productivity...
I swear I'm OCD because when I make a long term list, I just obsess about it until it's done. I've been known to get it all done in a day (I have no concept of prioritizing)--What's the deal with me?
I'm a list maker and breaker. They actually help my scattered mind on most days, other days I am just helpless.
I'm really excited to jump over & read amie's list. I like that amie she is a smart cookie! I just realized I haven't been on her blog in way to long!!
I love your list- but then... I'm a list lover :)
I agree I think sharing our projects do make us more accountable and more likely to get them done. I have quite a list of big things as well. It feels very daunting. Perhaps I should try Amie's idea.
I was surprised to see my picture on your blog... I feel like a celebrity.
I also like the "Meeting with Myself" title.
What? I thought Robyn did have access to my blog and feel free to fill her in on the truth since she has only see the "organization" from the outside... and Jimmy does have the rocks very organized.
